Quality of Care

“We believe that no one should
die alone.”

Also known as comfort care, hospice is dedicated to supporting patients with terminal illnesses, as well as their families and caregivers. At SolAmor Hospice, our mission is to preserve each patient’s dignity while removing the fear associated with dying through pain management, emotional and spiritual support.

Our dedicated team works together to provide patients and their loved ones with expert medical care and emotional and spiritual support. This same team is also available at all times to assist with illness education, grief counseling and bereavement support. Members of this team may include the following individuals.

  • Physicians
  • Nurses
  • Home healthcare aides
  • Social workers
  • Chaplains
  • Bereavement support coordinators
  • Volunteers

Sometimes it’s difficult to know when hospice may be appropriate. Basically, hospice is available for any patient facing a life-limiting illness where the physician or medical director gives a prognosis of approximately six months or less, assuming the illness were to follow its normal course. If you think it may be time for a hospice referral, contact us for more information about how we can help. We’ll do an assessment to determine whether hospice is necessary—and desired.

Let SolAmor Hospice help you and your loved ones through this difficult time with comfort, compassion and dignity.
